THE SANTA FE "DEMON PRIDE" MARCHING BAND
The Santa Fe High School "Demon Pride" Marching Band is made up of ALL members of the Santa Fe band program, and breaks into the two concert bands (Varsity Wind Symphony and JV Concert Band) at the conclusion of marching season, in November. As the most visible ensemble within the program, it represents the school and the community, both locally and away from home. This ensemble is competitive, participating in local contests, as well the Bands of America Regional. In addition to competition, the band performs at all home football games, selected community events/fundraisers, and local parades. Members are expected to adhere to all eligibility requirements of our school and district.
The "Demon Pride" rehearses during the school day, as well as Tuesdays & Thursdays after school (beginning in "Twilight Period") from 4:00PM to 9:00PM, and selected Saturdays from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Membership is by director approval only. To ensure the highest educational and performance quality of the ensemble, students must be enrolled in a in order to participate in marching band. Guard students are not required to enroll in a concert ensemble, but are strongly encouraged to enroll in a dance or theater course during the school day.
